Manual Lymphatic Drainage in Fort Myers, FL

SUPPORT YOUR BODY'S NATURAL FLOW
AND
FEEL LIGHTER AGAIN

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, non-invasive therapy designed to support the body’s natural detoxification process and reduce swelling.

At A Holistic Approach Center in Fort Myers, MLD is used to enhance the movement of lymph — a fluid that helps remove waste, toxins, and excess fluid from the body.

This light, rhythmic technique encourages proper lymph flow, helping the body function more efficiently while promoting a sense of ease and overall well-being.

We proudly serve clients from Fort Myers, Estero, Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, and Naples seeking a safe and effective approach to recovery and wellness.

WHAT IS
MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE (MLD)

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a specialized therapy that uses very light, rhythmic movements to stimulate the lymphatic system.

The lymphatic system plays a critical role in immune function and fluid balance, moving lymph — a clear fluid rich in white blood cells — throughout the body.

When the lymphatic system becomes sluggish or blocked due to:

• surgery
• injury
• infection
• inflammation
• radiation or medical treatments

...fluid can accumulate, leading to swelling and discomfort.

MLD helps gently guide this fluid back into circulation, supporting the body’s natural ability to heal and detoxify.

HOW
MLD SUPPORTS THE BODY

By improving lymph flow, Manual Lymphatic Drainage can support a wide range of bodily functions.

This therapy may help:

• reduce swelling and fluid retention
• support post-surgical recovery
• enhance immune system function
• improve circulation
• assist with detoxification
• reduce inflammation

Because the lymphatic system is closely connected to immune health, many clients also notice improved overall resilience and recovery.

 WHAT TO EXPECT
DURING A SESSION?

MLD sessions are gentle, relaxing, and non-invasive.

Using a light, wave-like motion, your practitioner will stretch the skin slightly in the direction of lymph flow. The pressure is very light — often compared to the touch used when stroking a newborn’s head.

Sessions are:

• oil-free
• pain-free
• deeply calming

Each session typically lasts about 60 minutes and is customized to your needs.

MLD is safe for individuals of all ages, including those in fragile health.
